What’s in a scent? For Simone Andreoli, it’s a feeling, an emotion, and the lingering memories of childhood innocence and ebullience. Having experienced a cultured childhood, Andreoli developed a love for the arts. Upon a visit to the French Riviera at 8 years old, which featured a visit to fragrance factories, he soon developed a keen interest in the world of smell.

“I’ve always been very fascinated and passionate about fragrances and flavors because I always seen fragrances as a trigger to undisclosed emotions and feelings.”

Decades later, Andreoli’s brand is present in more than 40 countries and is one of the leading players in Italy for perfumery. How did he achieve such a feat? By taking consumers on olfactory journeys, thanks to the presence of scents and flavors from all over the world in his creations. That said, I was elated to embrace the world of vices with Simone Andreoli Vicebomb Eau de Parfum.

Take A Trip with Simone Andreoli Vicebomb Eau de Parfum

“Inspiration is everywhere, and it’s just about your sensitivity as an artist, as a nose, to capture the moment and express it into the fragrance.” Simone Andreoli

Simone Andreoli Vicebomb EDP takes is all about taking you on a mischievous and cheeky trip down the path of libertine temptation.

To lure you in, the fragrance starts with a sweet dark cherry liqueur scent, enrolled in caramel sweetness. As it starts off tickling your sweet tooth, you may think that it’s a gourmand fragrance. However, the scent lingers on your skin, and the sweetness of the cherry somewhat subsides as the fragrance becomes fiercer, sprung on by tonka beans, ylang-ylang, and amber.

“You have to think of the ingredients as colors or music notes. Similar to when you start writing a song or composing music, you put together something that is expressing what you have inside.”Simone Andreoli

Should You Embrace Your Vices?

If you’re on the lookout for a scent that carries an almost femme fatale element, then this is the one for you.

Lasting on my skin for a good 8 hours and 4 hours of decent projection, Simone Andreoli Vicebomb EDP is a subtly sweet fragrance that packs a pretty good punch.

Yes, the top notes are cherry, but somehow the fragrance manages to be sweet without giving you a cavity.

I credit that to the middle and base notes that allow for the scent to maintain its sweetness, all while being seductive and provocative. Now while you may be inclined to indulge your vices during warmer weather, this particular scent may be too heavy for that. As such, the scent is better off sprayed in cooler, more intimate settings.

Where do I find it?

Simone Andreoli Vicebomb EDP is available from Skins Cosmetics and other niche perfume houses, available both in-store and online.
