How often do you look up from your phone or away from your laptop screen? We can bet that it’s not often enough. Luckily for us who seem glued to our screens, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have urged the visitors of their Archewell Productions’ official website to monitor their online habits and ‘take a break’ from their screen time.
Prince Harry and Meghan Want You To Take Screen Time Break
The site, which follows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s humanitarian and ‘compassion in action’ journey, now provides an automated message which pops up 20 minutes after a visitor enters, warning them about browsing for too long.
“We love you here, but we’re mindful of screentime. Why not take a break? We’ll be here.”
Screen breaks won’t only give your eyes a chance to relax, but they can also help to improve your attention, reduce stress as well as boost productivity.
Is 20 minutes enough?
Absolutely, and might we suggest that you adopt the 20-20-20 rule?
Every 20 minutes, look up from your screen at something about 20 feet away for about 20 seconds. Doing so will give your eyes a break and considering how much screen time they endure, they definitely need it.
