Suppose you don’t already know who Michael Roizen is. In that case, he is a Sharecare editorial advisory member, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Williams Collage, Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the University of California, San Francisco School of medicine. He is board certified in both anesthesiology and internal medicine. Roizen recently launched a new book and an app called The Longevity Playbook.

In 2007 Dr. Roizen was named the Chief Wellness Officer for Cleveland Clinic Wellness and Chair of its Wellness Institute. Dr. Roizen co-founded the RealAge concept and chairs its scientific Advisory Board. He and Dr. Oz have authored eight number-one New York Times best sellers between them, and three separately, including four number-one New York Times best sellers.

His most recent book is The Great Age Reboot: Cracking the Longevity Code for a Younger Tomorrow. Roizen writes passionately with the goal of helping people choose to live a younger and healthier life.

Michael Roizen began routinely taking patients in at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness who were struggling with tobacco, heart, diabetic, or arthritic problems and provided them with simple but effective lifestyle changes to be able to live a healthier and younger life.

He would use the RealAge concept to encourage his patients to make the necessary changes to their lifestyle. Michael believes in teaching the role of food and other simple steps in reversing disease processes. The Cleveland Clinic aims to elevate preventive care and wellness as a core value encouraged through patients and employees.
