She follows the Dukan Diet

When it comes to healthy eating, Kate Middleton focuses on a high-protein but low-carb diet. As such, it’s been reported that she’s an avid follower of the Dukan Diet.

The Dukan Diet was designed by the French physician and self-proclaimed nutritionist Pierre Dukan.

The idea behind the diet is that eating more protein can help to manage one’s weight, especially because protein is lower in calories, and it can help to ensure satiety.

Now, while research has found that protein can help a person feel more full, it is not recommended that one adopt a diet that encourages the exclusion of certain food groups. If you do want to follow the diet, then it is advisable that you consult a nutritionist before doing so.

No dairy, no problem

According to reports, Kate Middleton avoids dairy and prefers to consume almond milk with berries as her snack.

Almond milk is not only an easy plant-based alternative to conventional dairy, but it’s also great for the body. Rich in vitamins E and D, as well as calcium and potassium, almond milk has been found to help the body in a number of ways, particularly by reducing the risk for heart disease.

Run Kate, run

According to a royal insider, one way the Duchess of Cambridge stays fit is by putting on her running shoes and going out for a run, often with her dog Lupo.

Not only is running one of the most inexpensive and effective ways to stay active but if you’re a dog parent, having your four-legged friend join you has been found to enhance your workout and your mental strength.


In addition to running, it’s reported that Kate Middleton is also a fan of planks. The Duchess makes sure to incorporate the different variations into her workouts.

Whether it’s the normal plank or the side planks, this form of exercise isn’t only great for your core, but it can also improve your posture and your flexibility.

Avid yogi

Another exercise routine that the Duchess of Cambridge is said to enjoy is yoga.

For one, it helps her stay slim by strengthening her core muscles. Additionally, yoga is also a great way to ease the stressors of royal life.

Color away the stress

It can be hard to be in the public eye. This is especially true when you’re part of a monarchy (just as Kate Middleton’s in-laws). As such, one can only imagine the different ways that the Duchess attempts to relieve stress and tension.

One way, which may surprise you, is by coloring away her feelings. In an interview, her husband, Prince William, shared that his wife uses the Secret Garden Adult Coloring Book to de-stress. If you’re not a fan of coloring, you can also try a jigsaw puzzle to destress and unwind.
