The CBD revolution is such that one can purchase cannabinoids in various forms. CBD oil is still considered the “original and best” by many users, but you can also buy CBD drinks, CBD gummies, CBD chocolate, CBD honey, CBD vape juice, and CBD suppositories (yes, really).

Indeed, the above is only a fraction of what’s on offer! While some CBD products are little more than gimmicks, certain consumption methods are potentially better than others, depending on your goals and preferences. People with a sweet tooth unquestionably want CBD gummies or chocolate. Individuals looking for quick effects may gravitate towards CBD vape juice.

Many people buy cannabidiol to help reduce pain. To this end, CBD cream is becoming an extremely popular choice for dealing with pain, aches, and muscle injuries. Furthermore, it could also provide soothing and moisturizing effects on the skin. Keep reading to learn three medical conditions where CBD cream can offer genuine benefits. 1. Arthritis

The prevalence of arthritis shocks many people. Almost one-quarter of American adults have physician-diagnosed arthritis, according to the CDC. It is an umbrella term for a huge number of conditions related to the joints. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints. To make matters worse, symptoms generally get worse over time.

Arthritis patients tend to use prescription painkillers. While they provide short-term relief, a user will develop a tolerance over time. There is also a risk of addiction.

However, CBD cream can have anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce the impact of arthritis pain. A study published in 2018 looked into the effects of CBD gel on volunteers with osteoarthritis-related knee pain. Across 12 weeks, they used 250 mg or 500 mg of cannabidiol each day, split into two applications. While the overall pain levels remained similar to placebo users, researchers found that those who used 250 mg of CBD daily had significantly lowered “weekly worst pain scores.”

2. Neuropathic Pain

Neuropathic pain can be caused by one of many injuries and conditions that damage the nervous system or nerves. Individuals with this form of pain may experience muscle weakness, numbness, tingling, or stabbing/burning/shooting pain.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is one of the primary causes of neuropathic pain. MS wears down a mixture of phospholipids and proteins called myelin that coat our nerve cells. Sativex, a pharmaceutical drug containing a combination of CBD and THC, is approved as a treatment for MS in several countries.

A study published in 2020 looked at the impact of CBD on patients with peripheral neuropathy. The condition is caused by nerve damage that leads to weakening, numbness, and discomfort in the hands and feet.

In the study, 29 patients used either a placebo or 250 mg of a CBD topical each day. After four weeks, those who used cannabidiol reported a statistically significant reduction in sharp pain, intense pain, and itchy and cold sensations compared to the placebo group.

3. Acne

Acne is a condition caused by the excess build-up of dirt, oil, and dead skin cells in the pores. Bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes builds up in the pores, resulting in the blemishes we call spots or acne.

A study published in 2014 looked into the effect of CBD on acne. The researchers found that cannabidiol inhibited oil production. Furthermore, the cannabinoid had anti-inflammatory effects on glands that produce oil. According to the researchers, CBD is a “promising therapeutic agent” for acne.

You might find that CBD cream could also help with body acne and acne scars. There is also evidence that CBD is useful when trying to combat itchy skin conditions and psoriasis.

CBD Cream – A Versatile Product to Keep in Your Bathroom Cabinet

beauty hacks | Longevity LIVEResearchers have only scratched the surface when it comes to determining the full array of benefits associated with CBD. With a staggering array of products available, finding one that suits your needs can be overwhelming.

However, you might find that CBD cream is useful in certain situations. For example, if you suffer from pain in a certain body region, applying a topical to the affected area could provide relief. Individuals with acne may also appreciate CBD cream’s positive effects on their skin.

When shopping for CBD creams, remember that such products are usually more expensive than CBD oil. On the other hand, if they provide the relief you crave, it will be a case of money well spent.
