With many campgrounds and RV parks found around the country, there is no shortage of places to stop and camp and experience all that America has to offer. Read on to see some of the more unique ways to see America with your luxury travel trailer!

Explore the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota

When people think of vacations, at least outside the Midwest, northern Minnesota probably isn’t one of the first places that come to mind. What people don’t know is that the Boundary Water region of northern Minnesota is one of the most beautiful and uninhabited wilderness areas in the country.

The Boundary Waters are found north of Duluth, Minnesota, with one of the main towns in the region being Ely, MN. This area is a maze of small lakes and rivers cutting through vast pine forests, many of which can only be accessed by canoe. This area gets its namesake by being the area that divides the United States from Canada.

While the population in the area is low, there are plenty of places to camp and park your travel trailer. This will give you a nice place to call home base while you explore the many small lakes. Fishing in this area is a rite of passage, so you’ll not want to leave your fishing gear at home.

If you are craving some wilderness in your life and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, look no further than the Boundary Waters. It’s so beautiful and remote you’ll wonder why you’ve never heard of this place before!

Take in Mountain Life in Telluride, Colorado

While there are many mountain towns in Colorado that will capture your heart, there is perhaps no better town than Telluride, Colorado. This tiny little town settles in between the mountains and offers a little something for everyone.

It is a hotspot for skiing, hiking, and mountain biking, so if you’re one of those people who enjoy the thrill of the outdoors, it’s got something for you. There is beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see and many areas to explore ensuring you won’t run out of things to do and see.

In addition to its unbelievable outdoor opportunities, Telluride has quickly become one of the premier destinations for festival-goers. Both the Bluegrass Festival and the Telluride Film Festival call this quaint little town home, offering something for the music lover and the film buff alike.

With all the things to do in town, you know that you’ll never be far away from great food and drink as well. The famed Last Dollar Saloon is a great way to take a beer break from skiing or hiking. 221 South Oak is a fine dining establishment for those who enjoy high-end dining.

With campgrounds and RV parks around the area, you can stay and enjoy the area for a while in your luxury travel trailer for a moderate cost.

This area is really a paradise for beach lovers, boasting large swathes of beaches and piers for the ocean lover, but it doesn’t stop there. Gulf State Park borders this town’s west side and is an outdoor lover’s dream. Enjoy camping and hiking here, taking in the natural beauty of the coastline.

Kids and adults alike will be amazed to find that one of America’s best zoos is located in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo opened in 1989 and is home to over 130 different species, including eight endangered species. It’s truly a place that any animal lover will love.
