2020 Health Horoscopes

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) Horoscopes | Longevity LIVE

In 2020, Saturn, the planet of boundaries and restriction, is conjunct with powerful Pluto, which represents transformation and change. You may find that the rules for lifestyle, work or health start shifting. This can mean stress and discomfort because change is difficult for you. You may even find yourself feeling persecuted, victimized or pessimistic. Rethink your approach.

Take advantage of opportunities to change and achieve goals. Remember that blood pools in your lower legs when you sit too long, so take regular breaks or you could have problems with swollen calves and ankles. Leave your computer for a while. You need fresh air. Make a point of going outside and breathing deeply. When stressed, we can forget to breathe properly. Yoga and forms of meditation that use breathing techniques can help. Eat foods that support your nervous system, such as fish, leafy greens, eggs, and nuts. You may have to step up your exercise routine. Find or start a walking group. Fly a kite. Play volleyball.

If you are feeling adventurous, try parachuting, rock-climbing or pole-vaulting. Change can be a positive thing. Saturn, the ruler of your sign, is right at home for most of this year, but you may experience some challenges or difficulties from around the middle of May through September.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Horoscopes | Longevity LIVEBoundaries can be an issue because you are so kind and approachable. Others may take advantage of you, so watch out for abuse. Don’t be too self-sacrificing or you will resent it later. You are dreamy, sensitive and imaginative, so guard your heart. Don’t take on more than you can handle.

Water is your element, so get physical exercise from swimming, canoeing or surfing. Aqua aerobics, gymnastics or dancing may also suit. Take good care of your feet, as there could be a weakness there. A foot massage or reflexology session might be just the thing. A visit to the sea could also be therapeutic. Have small, regular, healthy meals. Don’t forget to eat!

Substance abuse is a no-no for you. Some structure in your life is important or you could find yourself dissolving. With Saturn in his own sign conjunct Pluto, you may find it easier to create new structures in your life. Your ruling planet, Jupiter, is not in a happy place in Capricorn for much of this year. This could mean some stressful times, which may find you feeling bogged down, constricted or trapped. Pay attention to your immune system and avoid stimulants. Eat peaches, plums, oranges, green vegetables, seaweed, salads, fish and eggs, and stay hydrated.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

You want to get out there and do stuff, and you have the energy required. You’re not afraid of competition, but this year you may find that the rules are changing. Stay informed and flexible. Roll with the punches and you could end up exploring a new direction. Your integrity and strength will likely be tested. From August through December, you may experience some headbutting. horoscopes | Longevity LIVE

Mars turns retrograde during this period, which may require a re-evaluation of your course of action. Expect some changes in direction. Don’t be too busy to eat healthy meals, and digest them properly. Acknowledge your need for rest, as well as action. Avoid stimulants and go easy on hot, spicy or fast foods, however much you may love them.

Your head and face are particularly vulnerable to injury and illness, so take care not to be involved in any punch-ups. Boxing, while it may appeal, is probably not advisable. Headaches and sinusitis could be a problem. Watch your blood pressure. Eat lean meat, leafy greens, fresh salads, apricots, bananas, fish oil, and flaxseed oil. Drink water. Physical workouts are stress-relievers, so hit the gym, try athletics, tennis or squash. Shooting, fencing or cycling may also suit.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Avoid comfort-eating and too many sweet things. You are prone to laryngitis, tonsillitis, sore throats, swollen lymph nodes in your neck and thyroid problems. As underlying structures and boundaries are tested this year, you may have to make changes to your lifestyle.

horoscopes | Longevity LIVE

Don’t be tempted to overindulge. Eat fish, chicken, cauliflower, asparagus, leafy greens, pumpkin, and nuts. Steer your diet towards fruits and vegetables, rather than heavy starches and greasy junk food, as you are inclined to put on weight.

Taureans love the good life: good food, good music, and sensual pleasures. Just don’t overdo it or your health may suffer. You have a strong body, but can be lazy and stubborn in the exercise department. It’s always easier once you get started, as you are very determined.

You may have a good singing voice, so give it a try. Singing has surprising physical and mental health benefits. It strengthens the immune system, improves posture, lowers stress levels and improves mental alertness. You could do well in endurance sports such as cross- country running, hiking or mountain biking. Weightlifting, bodybuilding or football may also appeal. If you are not interested in sport, go for outdoor walks or gardening.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Gemini is a mutable Air sign. You are attracted to fads and fashions and can become bored and restless if stuck in a rut for too long. Change it up by trying different physical activities that stimulate you mentally. Yoga, Pilates, aerobics, and dancing are all good options. A healthy body means a healthy mind, so relieve stress, anxiety, and insomnia by getting plenty of exercises.

Horoscopes | Longevity LIVE

Maintain your energy reserves and don’t exhaust yourself, because this could lead to health problems for your lungs and nervous system. Know your limitations. Drink herbal teas rather than tea, coffee or alcohol.

You have a mind like quicksilver, so pay attention to your need for mental stimulation and variety. You may find mental relaxation in working with your hands, whether it is sewing, creating stained-glass masterpieces, making pottery, jewelry or painting.

Make sure you get enough omega-3s and eat brain foods such as fatty fish, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, walnuts, blueberries, and avocado. Eat oranges, grapefruit, bell peppers, tomatoes, and guavas to boost vitamin C levels and avoid flu, bronchitis, pneumonia and other lung problems. Get a massage to soothe the tension in your arms and shoulders, and take care of your hands.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Don’t get so involved with other people’s problems that you forget to take care of yourself. Eat cheese, eggs, yogurt, fish, lean meat, oats, rice, carrots, celery, cabbage, and fiber. Hot, spicy and acidic foods are bad for you, and so is wine and other alcohol. Don’t use too much salt, and avoid sweet, yeasty foods and oily foods.

horoscopes | Longevity LIVEGo for a run on the beach or lakeside, meditate, do yoga, swim or try water aerobics. Your ruling planet is the Moon, so you could suffer from fluid retention and swelling periodically. Eat potassium-rich foods for this problem, such as bananas, sweet potato, spinach, butternut, cantaloupe, prunes, raisins, and dates.

For you, physical fitness is essential for your mental wellbeing and peace of mind. You appreciate that the mind and the body are not separate entities and that nurturing the one also nurtures the other. You can feel sick to your stomach from stress and emotional upsets because you are sensitive and empathetic. Your digestive system tells you when something is not right. Listen to your body. You are prone to nausea, gastritis, ulcers, stomach upsets and other problems with your gastrointestinal tract. You are a natural nurturer, but don’t overdo it.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Leos love to shine. They enjoy physical activities in which they can demonstrate their prowess. This year there may be challenges and changes involving life structures and boundaries, which might mean you have to rethink family, work or health goals. Get rid of unhealthy habits. Don’t lose focus. Make sure you get enough sleep and don’t neglect periodic medical check-ups. Horoscopes | Longevity LIVE

On the whole, you are likely to have health and energy in abundance this year. Don’t overwork yourself, despite the fact that you may be very busy at work. Rugby, athletics, dancing, polo, baseball, tennis, horse jumping, basketball, and volleyball are activities you may enjoy.

Be aware of heart health and eat accordingly. Cut down on greasy foods and avoid fast foods. Eat lean beef, fish, citrus fruit, figs, nuts, berries, grapes, leafy greens, olives, plums, pears, and raisins. Leos can be at risk for heart attacks and conditions affecting the heart, such as rheumatic fever and pericarditis, especially as they get older. You are prone to circulatory problems, and exercise is a good way to prevent this. For mental health, explore activities in the area of entertainment, such as acting in amateur theater, movies, opera or musicals.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Virgos are health-conscious and usually conscientious about fitness routines. However, they have a tendency to over-analyze. This can lead to hypochondria. Take a chill pill. Live a little. You are naturally quite a healthy person. Consider the bigger picture rather than trivial details.

Horoscopes | Longevity LIVEYou can become a workaholic, which is bad for your mental and physical health, so don’t give free rein to your perfectionist tendencies. Also, don’t take other people’s observations about your health too seriously, unless, of course, it’s your doctor speaking. Avoid eating when you are angry or upset. Try not to be too fussy when it comes to food. Eat plenty of fiberΒ and foods that promote gut health.

Natural alternatives are preferable to highly processed foods. You may suffer from irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, gastritis or other bowel problems. Eat foods such as cauliflower, lean red meat, fish, celery, nuts, yogurt, melons, apples, pears, bananas, mangoes, and citrus fruits. You should avoid highly seasoned, rich, spicy foods and gravies. Exercise routines can include going to the gym, yoga, meditation, golf, bowls, walking, cycling and running. You are unlikely to enjoy highly competitive sports. You are more concerned with maintaining your health than beating others.

Libra (September 23 – October 22) Horoscopes | Longevity LIVE

Libras are sociable, fun-loving souls. If you are a party animal, don’t let this interfere with your sleep and health routines. It is important for you to have a balanced life, so any form of overindulgence is inadvisable. Sports involving a partner or group are good for you. It takes two to tango, as they say! Try squash, tennis, golf, ballroom dancing, pilates, aerobics, calisthenics, gymnastics, and diving. Exercising to music makes it more pleasurable.

Avoid foods that are overly sweet or salty, and eat foods from all of the different foods groups, in moderation. Balance is key. Don’t be distracted from health and wellness routines by others.Β  For you, variety is the spice of life, so try doing different forms of exercise on different days of the week, and do it with friends. If you find you lack direction on how to start a fitness regimen, take a class or hire a personal trainer.

Eat berries, fish, chicken, leafy greens, tomatoes and foods that promote kidney health, such as blueberries, red grapes, garlic, cauliflower, cabbage, and rocket. Drink plenty of fluids. Lower-back pain can be a problem. Aromatherapy and massages with fragrant oils, lotions and scrubs can promote wellness.

Horoscopes | Longevity LIVEScorpio (October 23 – November 21)

For the first half of the year it’s all systems go, but Mars, your ruling planet, goes retrograde in Aries in September through to mid-November. This could lead to a loss of energy, irritation or frustration, and a lessening of your physical drive. It’s only temporary. To cope with this, be less forceful, more playful and thoughtful.

Scorpios are determined, sexual, emotional, passionate, driven and energetic. Health prospects are good overall, as long as you maintain your fitness regime. Eat asparagus, onions, cherries, coconut, figs, radishes, salad greens, and foods rich in fiber. You need calcium, so get plenty of yogurts, cheese, and milk. For protein, eat lean meat, fish and seafood.

Don’t skip meals because you are obsessing about work. Eat small meals at regular intervals. Though you love sex and it is beneficial for you, your reproductive system can be your weakness. Use condoms and be wary of sexually transmitted diseases.

Get screened for cervical cancer regularly. Check yourself for testicular cancer. You may also suffer from menstrual problems, prostatitis, hemorrhoids or bladder infections. Drink plenty of fluids to flush your system. As for sports, you may enjoy competitive martial arts, kick-boxing, ice- skating, parachuting, javelin, and skydiving.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

With Jupiter as your ruling planet, you can be generous, spontaneous, fun-loving and adventurous. Freedom is important to you.

You are prone to health problems with the hips, gluteal muscles, thighs, and liver. Take the time this year to improve your diet and exercise regimen. Consider the Mediterranean diet. Be careful to avoid injuries to your hips and thighs when exercising. Horoscopes | Longevity LIVE

You are at risk for atherosclerosis, jaundice, hepatitis, sciatica, fatty liver or cirrhosis of the liver, and could be prone to obesity as you age. This means that you need to avoid excessive amounts of rich food and alcohol. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet that supports your bones and liver, and remember to breathe deeply. Pork, salmon, chicken, eggs, mushrooms, artichokes, figs, pawpaw, grapefruit, garlic, oats, mango, berries and plenty of fresh vegetables are good for you. Avoid greasy, spicy foods and refined sugars.

Since you are naturally healthy and athletic, exercise should not be difficult for you. Just be aware of the risk of accidents and injury before throwing yourself headlong into activity. Horseriding, polo, shooting, archery, cycling, rollerblading and hiking are sports you might enjoy. Traveling, camping and exploring new ideas can be beneficial for your mental health.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

You are ambitious, persistent, wilful, practical and disciplined. This makes for an ability to excel at endurance sports. When you are stressed, you suffer from skin problems such as eczema, breakouts, rashes, and allergies. You may also have difficulties with your joints, teeth, and bones, especially as you get older.
Horoscopes | Longevity LIVEKnee injuries, arthritis, rheumatism, and other skeletal disorders could be a problem for you. Calcium intake is therefore important. Eat foods such as dairy products, eggs, oats, meat, onions, almonds, spinach, brown rice, fish and dark leafy greens. Experiment with different foods or you may end up in a culinary rut from the force of habit. This is a great year for improving yourself, so try a new exercise regime. Proper exercise is important for you as a stress-reliever.

Tear yourself away from work and do yoga; go for walks; or try mountain- biking, rock-climbing, mountain-climbing, running, athletics, hiking or skiing. You have a tendency to overwork and may skip meals because of it. This is unhealthy. Eat regular meals. Be aware of the risks of abusing alcohol. Make a conscious effort to declutter your mind; have a special coffee with friends, or visit a museum or art gallery.
