I’m all about breaking a sweat, especially because it’s a great way to stay on top of my health, and it’s an amazing mood booster. Now while I understand the importance of regular exercise, I also know that you need the proper gear if you want to keep up, which is why I’m such a huge fan of Under Armour.

Over the past few years, Under Armour has revolutionized fitness wear, creating products that serve to improve athletic performance. In typical fashion, the brand has set a new standard for cross-training footwear with the launch of the unisex TriBase™ Reign 6, which will stand out as the perfect companion for the modern fitness enthusiast.

Under Armour TriBase™ Reign 6: My New Fitness Companion

What makes a good fitness shoe?

The TriBase™ Reign 6, has its versatility in helping you achieve your fitness goals by offering the necessary support and flexibility that will ensure a well-rounded and efficient workout journey.

Ultimate training shoe – stability and balance

My fitness routine will also involve some form of strength training, and not because I’m looking to build some muscle – which is always a plus. Aside from muscle building, strength training helps me manage my weight, improve my range of motion, target stubborn belly fat, build stronger bones (women face a higher risk of osteoporosis), improve my heart health, and even better my thinking skills.

Strength training is an important part of my workout regime, and with the TriBase™ Reign 6 on my feet, this only served to heighten my workout.

For one, the shoe has a 2 mm drop, which means that you’re pretty close to the ground, and this serves to provide the necessary stability for heavy lifts. What’s more, in conjunction with the heel counter, the close-to-the-ground design allows for decent power transfers through the floors, making the shoe a great companion for cardio bursts like burpees.

Also, you need not worry about discomfort as the shoe is adorned with UA WARP upper and TPU mesh, which provides ultimate support and breathability.

Not so cardio-friendly

Unfortunately, great training shoes do not always translate to great cardio shoes, and the TriBase™ Reign 6 is no different.

As mentioned, the shoe is pretty close to the ground, which indicates limited cushioning and limited shock absorption. Now, if you routinely run barefoot, this may not be a problem for you, but the average runner may not enjoy feeling more ground that cushion during their morning jogs.

My Verdict

If you’re all about strength training, or even CrossFit, then you’ll be more than happy to lace up with the Under Armour TriBase™ Reign 6.

I pair the shoes with the Women’s UA Infinity High 2.0 Bra, which provides great support, and the Women’s Unstoppable Jacket, with its breathable fabric and water-resistant finish. Before long, I’m lifting weights and forming an unbreakable bond with my ultimate fitness companion.

So why not take charge of your fitness journey by heading over to the Under Armour website and meeting your workout wingman in the Under Armour TriBase™ Reign 6?
