Dr. Nomusa R. Dlamini is a Principal Research Scientist, specializing in food sciences and technology, including food safety and innovation, at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in Pretoria, South Africa.
She has a PhD in Food Science and Technology (Texas A&M University, USA), a MSc in Food Sciences (University of Reading, UK), and over 20 years’ combined experience in research and academia. Dr Dlamini joined the CSIR in 2007 and has done research in various aspects of food science and technology, nutraceutical and food product development, nutritional and phytochemical analysis and developing processing methods of indigenous food ingredients, incorporating grains and vegetables.
