Barbell Bench Press

Dumbell Chest Fly
Use the dumbbells again. Hold the dumbbells directly above your chest with your palms facing inwards. Now with a slight bend in your elbows, lower the weights down to your sides. Thank you for the article – it is a well-balanced report on a condition that can be very distressing.
I am the CEO of the Australian Tea Tree Industry Association and I see that in your article you mention some essential oils as a possible trigger: “Some researchers have also found possible links to natural herbs that might trigger the development of gynecomastia, man boobs. This includes lavender, tea tree oils in shampoos, soaps and even lotions. They think this is because they promote weak estrogenic activity.”
While we have yet to get to the bottom of this we believe that the link is at best tenuous and have good data demonstrating that both tea tree oil (TTO) and lavender oil (LO) at extremely low levels (0.025%) extract phthalates and other potentially endocrine disrupting chemicals from plastics at rates up to 2000-fold when compared to controls. We know that when the original research was done (Henley et al (2007) in the New England Medical Journal) the researchers used polystyrene lab-ware; our work used the identical 96 well plates as well as several other similar products. We believe it is reasonable to propose that the migration of plasticisers into the test solutions was causative of the results found where the researchers simply assumed it was the essential oils. We have addressed this with the information we have available here: http://www.teatree.org.au/read_more.php?id=620.
We are currently working with the Franklin Institute of Wellness to try to get to the bottom of this. See this link for more information:
A very recent paper has now linked essential oils to premature thelarche (breast growth in pre-pubescent girls) and once again the researchers used plastic lab-ware. The Franklin Institute of Wellness has released a report on this see this link: https://fsihs.org/lavender-tea-tree-and-breast-growth-in-little-girls/.
While we remain unconvinced, if there is a link between essential oils and these conditions it is vitally important to know for sure to allow people to make informed decisions so we intend to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.
