But not all cannabis strains have the same effect on the human body.

The strain is a hybrid that is most commonly known for its high THC content. The high amount of THC makes this strain very effective for pain relief,  while giving you a feeling of euphoria at the same time. It has a citrus lemon-like scent which is also one of the causes that people prefer it over other stains that sometimes may have a pungent aroma.

Another convenience with this specific strain is that you can find the seeds from any nearby seed bank and grow it yourself. It has a lighter hue than other strains and is almost a platinum color that you can see from certain angles. It has a mellow effect that not only helps with the pain but also with unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Cannatonic Cannabis

It is one of the most popular strains in the US. You can go into any dispensary and ask for the Cannatonic cannabis strain, and you will get an immediate response. This strain is quite popular for its pain treatment abilities. The hybrid is made to have a low THC and a high CDB content which produces a very easy going and mellow feeling that lasts for a little while, but it does wonders for relieving pain.

It has 8% THC and 14% CBD. It has a leafy bud structure, a light green color with hues of orange in it. Due to the high level of CBD, it has a citrus scent similar to Girl Scout Cookies cannabis and some undertones of an earthy scent. If you grind it before using it, it may amplify the citrus scent that otherwise is not very pungent. Apart from pain relief, it can also be used as a hunger stimulant and for anxiety.

Famous ACDC Cannabis Strain

As the members of the rock band ACDC would say, this strain is like the TNT of all cannabis strains. The ACDC strain is a very powerful strain that will blow even the most severe pains away instantly. ACDC is a cannabis sativa dominant strain that is extracted from the Cannatonic cannabis strain, which is why it also stands out because of its low THC and high CBD ratio.

This hybrid strain has a 5:2 CBD to THC ratio. Thus,  it is extremely effective for patients with arthritis or any other form of pain.

The average THC for Harlequin is 8.6 % and CBD 7.2 per strain produced by Maoni, which means that it’s almost a 1:1 ratio. The genetic breakdown is 75% Sativa and 25% Indica. It has an earthy scent, some woodnotes and a musky appeal.

Canna Tsu Cannabis

The Canna Tsu Cannabis Strain is a very popular and highly CBD dominant marijuana strain. Thus, it is the perfect strain to combat joint pain and inflammation. The high CBD ratio in this strain will numb any pain while the very low ratio of THC allows you to go about your day normally.  This is a great strain for people who need to stay focused.

It has an earthy taste which is amplified if you grind it. There may be a slight difference depending on the way that you prefer taking your strain. However, it is one of the best strains for anxiety and chronic pain.

  • Mandy Daries says:

I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years.
The information in your article was very helpful, however, where do I purchase it in Cape Town?

    • Mandy, thanks for reaching out. CBD products in South Africa have only recently been approved for sale by Health Authorities and this is a temporary window. Our suggestion is to speak to the pharmacy at the Wellness Warehouse in Kloof Street, Cape Town. They are a responsible integrative health retailer and should know where you can source good quality CBD products, if not from them. Unfortunately there is not a lot available. It is important that you use a credible retailer or specialist when you are looking for a product. Our website is hosted in the USA, where many states have legalized CBD, hence the details in this article were directed more towards this market.
