Why Is Papaya And Banana A Healing Combination?

When you’re on holiday it doesn’t mean you have to pack on the pounds. There are plenty of ways to enjoy good food, without hindering your fitness goals.

Celebrities are always travelling. Yet every time they return they look fresh and lean. Things like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and healthy fats are what keeps them in shape. However, smoothies are their go-to snack or breakfast meal because they’re easy and super healthy.

According to HealingSmoothies.Com,Β  this smoothie supports stomach health in many ways. Mainly because bananas and papaya contain a lot of dietary fibre, eating a high fibre diet is also an excellent way to boost digestion and prevent bloating. Not only this, but you will feel full for much longer. There are also enzymes in Papaya that can help you digest other meals and stop your body from experiencing constipation.

Who doesn’t love bananas? I love them. It’s like biting into pure happiness.

Bananas are a powerhouse, super fruit, they’re a great source of fuel because they’re packed with rich amounts of potassium. This provides natural energy to get you going bright and early in the morning. Rather than feeling sluggish after a huge breakfast, you can mix up this easy smoothie and be ready to go.

We love eating potassium-rich foods because they’re vital to your health and regulate the sodium levels in your body, which reduces high blood pressure. And your risk of developing any kind of heart disease is much lower because you’ll avoid clogging up your arteries.

What About Papaya?

This fruit is deliciously sweet and compliments a number of different dishes. From salads to overnight oats, to chicken and even fish dishes. What we love about it more is that it’s very low in calories and extremely high in vitamins, flavonoids, antioxidants and minerals.

Experts say that just one serving of papaya can give your diet over 200% of the daily recommended intake of vitamin C. We know that vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and makes your immune system much stronger. It can even help to prevent cancer. Plus, Papaya contains massive amounts of vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin K too.

Still not convinced about trying this recipe yet?

Well, bananas add an extra vitamin injection to your smoothie, because they contain vitamin B6. Your body benefits a huge amount from this vitamin, as it lowers your risk of developing type II diabetes by regulating blood sugar levels. Plus, it increases the production of red blood cells and protects against anemia. The vitamin aids in the production of serotonin and dopamine as well, supporting proper nerve function.

Even if you’re traveling on the go, you can quickly blend this smoothie up and carry it with you whilst you travel!
