One of the most iconic supermodels to date, Heidi Klum just doesn’t seem to age.

With toned, mile-long legs and glowing skin, this 48-year-old model has undoubtedly mastered the art of longevity. From Victoria’s Secret to America’s Got Talent, this German-American model has continued to stun with her beauty throughout the years, and we’re hoping to steal some of her top anti-aging tips.

Simple Skincare:

How does she manage to have baby-smooth skin at 48? Her secret is far more low-maintenance than one would expect. The Project Runway star washes her face with Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Shampoo:

I use baby shampoo as a face wash as it is the most gentle for your face, and it removes everything,” Klum reveals in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She follows with a rich moisturizer for a glow boost and also makes sure to never skip out on sunscreen.

Glow From Within with Vitamins:

Another of Heidi Klum’s skincare tips goes further than skin deep. She takes a daily vitamin for her skin and hair to encourage longevity from the inside out. It’s also coupled with a nutrient-packed smoothie in the mornings that provides the model with the energy needed to look and feel her best.

Know Your Food:

The supermodel’s love for healthy foods doesn’t end at breakfast. Although she doesn’t follow a specific diet, Klum enjoys eating simple, balanced meals. It might come as a surprise that the star prefers to cook these meals herself:

I don’t really eat out a lot,” she tells Entertainment Tonight. “I think when you eat out  a lot or order food in a lot, it kind of gets a little tricky because you don’t know what people are putting in there.”

Don’t Limit Yourself:

Although Klum eats healthy, this doesn’t mean that she deprives herself. She lives by the 80/20 rule, which in turn allows her to enjoy her chocolate and other treats guilt-free. Not labeling foods as being off-limits decreases the chances of overindulging at a later stage.

Not even McDonald’s is off-limits to this supermodel, although you probably wouldn’t believe it looking at her incredible body: “Some days there is nothing better than a Big Mac, fries with mayo, and a Coca-Cola!”

Intermittent Fasting:

Klum also practices Intermittent Fasting by having her last meal at 6 pm. This allows her body enough time to properly digest her food before her next meal, which helps to decrease bloating. It does not restrict one’s food intake, it simply spaces it out; you still consume the same amount of food and nutritional value of a normal day’s food intake, just in a specified time bracket. It has many benefits, but it is recommended to read up on the practice properly.

Keeping Fitness Fun:

Along with her (mostly) healthy diet, the Germany’s Top Model judge achieved her rock-hard abs by getting creative with her workouts:

I like running on the treadmill, but my schedule fluctuates a lot, so I don’t always work it into my day. I have to be creative about where I get my exercise in. I jump on the trampoline with my kids or have a nightly after-dinner dance party or we take our dogs for a hike.

While the supermodel does have time for a sweat session, she typically turns to some form of cardio, high-intensity interval training, or yoga. And her top tip?

Workout with a buddy. They keep you motivated and get you out of bed.”

A Refreshing Take on Aging:

Even though Klum looks incredible at 48, her attitude to aging is refreshing:

I don’t really think about getting older that much — I mean, I know it’s happening to me, it’s happening to all of us,” she says.

But it’s not like I wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and say, “Oh my God, oh my God.” You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.
