At 50 years old, J-Lo pulled off wearing a tight, black leather number that showed off her arms, side abs, upper thighs, and backside. Glow, stay young, this seems to come naturally for Jennifer. She pretty much wore next to nothing and we can’t help but drool at her beautiful body, abs and skin! Apparently, J-Lo has an array of healthy habits and beauty processes she follows daily to help keep her youthful body.

There’s a combination of steps to follow when it comes to living your healthiest, youngest life forever. This superstar doesn’t solely rely on good genes (which she’s got) or only one aspect of health to achieve a fit body. She concentrates on all the different aspects like sleep, beauty habits, health, fitness and self-care.   J-Lo always made her health a priority despite her very busy schedule.

Think about it, Jennifer acts, makes new music, performs in concerts, attends movie premieres, has a fiancé, and is a mother of two children. That’s a lot.

So those of you who are complaining about time constraints, try not to allow that to be your excuse for letting your health slide. There’s always time to make a gap for your personal goals. More importantly, J-Lo always somehow finds time to get more sleep than the majority of the country. She says that her number one tip is to always get enough sleep. Apparently, she aims to try and get nine or 10 hours of sleep, but if that’s not possible, then she makes sure she gets at least eight.

She does her best to hydrate and eat clean every day. It’s crucial to glow, stay young and healthy beyond your 50’s. Jennifer also says that she believes that beauty starts from within. Although this might sound cliche it’s the truth. In fact, she drinks loads of water and fresh foods with lots of fruits and vegetables. This is especially helpful when you get cravings to snack, which is why J-Lo keeps these kinds of foods on her all the time.

If you want to glow, stay young and have good skin then eating vegetables, fruits and drinking water will also play a massive role in the quality of your skin’s appearance. Therefore she also makes time to get out on the town occasionally. You will go nuts without having fun sometimes. However, you will never catch her throwing back drinks or puffing on a cigarette. Jennifer is certainly passionate about exercise too and makes it clear that she enjoys having fun with her workouts. She and her fiance/personal trainer constantly talk about their exercise and diet habits on social media and during interviews. Supposedly, J.Lo is a big fan of TruFusion. The studio specializes in heated workouts with power, yin, aerial or vinyasa yoga. They also have battle ropes, boxing, Bootcamp, cycling, kettlebells, barre, Pilates, and TRX, all on the schedule. Jennifer demonstrates her pre-show prep workout and shows how she works the three b’s: biceps, back, and booty. She also hits both arms simultaneously with high cable curls. Not only does she exercise these areas, but she also works her abs hard to glow, stay young and defined. She says her typical core workout starts with a set of 50 hanging abs raises, 50 rope crunches, and 50 incline sit-ups with a 45-pound plate. It’s obvious that looking  young for longer is not an easy task. You can’t be lazy and you need to keep moving regularly along with a clean diet.  Let’s not forget about Jennifer’s insane pole dancing training for Hustlers. The superstar says that pole dancing is definitely one of the hardest things she’s ever done physically. We can believe that too! Apparently, she worked with the film’s lead choreographer Johanna Sapakie and trained on a pole installed in her own living room.

A previous trainer of hers said that J-Lo is genetically blessed. He said she’s physically gifted with an incredible amount of physical energy. However, this is also because of her beautiful amount of mental and emotional energy. He adds that she’s very connected to her body, and she’s got crazy amounts of discipline. Although it might seem like J-Lo is a vampire, she isn’t. What she does isn’t rocket science. However, one important tip to note is that Jennifer says she never lies in the sun. As we know, UV exposure destroys collagen and elastic fibres in the skin, causing premature ageing. That’s why she has such youthful-looking skin. J-Lo explains that she’s a firm believer in SPF and she tries not to stay out in the sun too long.

Her other secret to getting a glow is glycolic acid. Lopez also revealed to People that she regularly uses glycolic acid to get that healthy glow, stay young and keep her skin clear. She usually opts for an SPF 30 to protect skin from the sun, glycolic acid, vitamin C, and pro-retinol to brighten and smooth skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

According to Jennifer, she is never too tired to wash and cleanse her face to glow, stay young and feel good. Both before bed and post-workout she always cleans her face. As you can imagine she works out a lot. This helps keep her pores clean and her skin feeling healthy after a sweat session or evening out.

To glow, stay young and have healthy skin she never neglects her skincare routine. Jennifer says she never goes to bed without taking her makeup off. She also uses night creams to keep her skin hydrated.

It always is, isn’t it? Apparently she doesn’t drink caffeine or coffee either. We know, it’s hard for us to bear. She says that she does enjoy coffee in the morning, but she sticks to decaf. Jo-Lo says she hasn’t had caffeine in years. We’re not saying you should go and cut out coffee if you love it, but just try to keep tabs on the amount you’re consuming daily.

Lastly, there’s no denying that J-Lo has some very good genes. She admits she has a genetic advantage. She says thanks to her mom and grandmother she has beautiful skin. She was blessed with that. Jennifer is fortunate in this regard, but she still works hard to glow, stay young and keep a healthy body. And although she usually has to wear a lot of makeup for her performances, she does let her skin breathe by going makeup-free when she’s not working.
