Beauty is constantly shifting, and with it comes an era of ever-evolving aesthetic treatments. Be it disillusionment with celebrity faces, or transparency from those who have gone under the knife, Dr. Reza Mia, an aesthetics expert, believes we are entering a more intelligent, natural, and safer age of cosmetic enhancement.

The Art and Science of Looking Good

Art may be subjective, but we all know what looks good, and for Dr. Mia, aesthetics is the perfect blend of both science and art,

“When it comes to making a patient look good, you need to know what ‘pretty’ is,” Dr. Mia explains, “That’s where the art comes in.”

With that, he encourages aspiring aesthetic practitioners to tap into their artistic side by drawing, sculpting, and training their aesthetic eye: “Some things are easier to implement and are more idiot-proof, but other fillers require a deep understanding of facial aesthetics.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF): The New Face Of Fillers

A major shift is underway in the aesthetics industry, as cutting-edge platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is quickly surpassing fillers and traditional platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy as the anti-aging treatment of choice, delivering results that patients describe as “four times better” than its predecessor.

“PRF is one of the treatments that excites me the most,” says Dr. Mia.

“It’s a biostimulant, not a filler. It uses the patient’s own blood and provides a long-lasting, regenerative effect on the skin and even deeper tissues.”

Elaborating, Dr. Mia explains that since introducing PRF into his practice, patients overwhelmingly choose it over PRP for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging,

“It means injecting a more potent concentrate with four times the cells needed to produce the results needed compared to previous alternatives, and subjectively, patients report it’s indeed four times better.”

Speaking more on the treatment’s benefits, Dr. Mia shares how it can deliver extraordinary results for those looking to improve their skin condition, treat stretch marks and scarring, heal certain injuries or wounds, or even enhance intimacy,

“With our P-shots and V-shots, we’re seeing dramatic improvements in post-menopausal and post-pregnancy concerns among women, while men are achieving some enhancements in size, function, and performance,” he explains.

PRF Fillers: An All-Natural Breast Lift?

In addition to turning PRF into a natural filler alternative and using it for under-eye hollows, nasolabial folds, and even lips, Dr. Mia has also turned to using PRF for non-surgical breast enhancement.

“For patients who’ve had their implants removed and now have tissue laxity, or those seeking natural enhancement without surgical implants, PRF filler is a game-changer. For breast enhancement, there really isn’t an alternative, with results lasting as long as six to 12 months.”

As PRF is taken from the patient’s own blood and then allowed to thicken into a soft gel before injection, Dr. Mia explains that it acts like a natural cushion inside the breast. Once in place, the gel holds its shape for a few weeks, giving an immediate, subtle lift. The platelets inside also continue to release growth signals that tell the body to lay down fresh collagen and create tiny new blood vessels. So, the early fullness slowly turns into real, living tissue instead of fading away like normal swelling.

“Patients like that the injected material is completely theirs, with no risk of immune rejection, hard capsules or implant leaks, while routine mammograms remain easy for radiologists to read. Most women experience only mild bruising and heaviness for a day or two, and are back to normal within a week.”

He reiterates that there is some swelling over the first few days, so patients should plan treatments well before any special events,

“If you choose a top-up after a year, the new PRF simply layers onto the existing tissue, giving a gentle, cumulative boost without stretching the skin unnaturally.”

Treatments start at around the cost of a mid-range smartphone and vary based on the extent of the area treated. Results become visible quickly but continue to improve over time, developing over three to six months as collagen rebuilds. This then delivers significant value compared to multiple syringes of traditional fillers or surgical options.

Hair Regrowth?

Aside from facial and chest aesthetics, PRF may also help with loss of locks.

According to Dr. Mia, his clinic combines PRF with personalized DNA analysis to determine how well patients will respond to hair loss treatments. With this approach, each patient is sure to receive precisely the treatments they’re genetically wired to respond to.

“I have zero minoxidil receptors in my scalp,” shares Dr. Mia, “So no matter how often I use it, it won’t work. But finasteride does-and we can now deliver it topically to reduce systemic side effects.”

Could PRF Replace Facelifts?

Not exactly.

“Regeneration has a biological ceiling. We can thicken the skin, soften scars, and enhance breasts naturally, but PRF doesn’t replace surgical intervention for augmentation,” explains Dr. Mia, who adds that starting early and maintaining skin quality can result in patients avoiding the scalpel entirely,

“9.5 out of 10 patients will not need surgical facelifts if they undergo consistent non-invasive treatments like PRF, botulinum toxin, and collagen-boosting therapies.”

Also, it’s never too late to enjoy the benefits of PRP.

“We’ve treated 90-year-olds who saw improvement. Just because you didn’t start at 30 doesn’t mean it’s too late to start.”

As Dr. Mia puts it: “There’s always something that can be done-as long as you’re breathing.”
