Demi Moore has just won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for the body horror film, The Substance. Ironically, the movie tackles an actress’s fears about being aged out of Hollywood. In the case of Moore, some have suggested it was an ideal role for her to take on, given the similarities to her real life. At 62 the actress is still turning heads both on and off the awards stage.

  • The actress’s top health tips for staying healthy in 2025

Demi Moore’s Anti-Aging Award Hacks At 62

“I find peace when I don’t see my body as my enemy, when I step back and have appreciation and look at all that my body has done for me. It’s allowed me to give birth to three beautiful children, it’s allowed me to explore different roles as an actor, it’s allowed me to be strong. You can’t look at yourself in the mirror and tear your body apart.” – Demi Moore, Harper’s Bazaar

The Substance touches on unrealistic beauty standards, and that’s something the award-winning lead actress can relate to, having followed harsh eating and exercise routines in her younger years,

“I put so much pressure on myself,” Moore confessed to CBS Sunday Morning, “The idea of what I did to my body, it’s, like, so crazy, so ridiculous.”

It has been widely reported over the years that Moore has also relied on plastic surgery to enhance her genetically strong assets. That her ageless glow is not one dimensional, but rather, is the result of her dietary plan and workout regime, as well as the scalpel.

Over time, Moore appears to have adopted a much healthier and moderated approach to diet and exercise. However, her speculated use of plastic surgery and non-invasive procedures (much of which she has not confirmed) is well documented and has clearly enabled her to maintain her good looks over the decades.

Demi’s 3 anti-aging routines you can follow

1. Dance cardio

Demi Moore’s Golden Globe winning character in The Substance leads an aerobics TV show. This may be something that the actress took from her real life, as she once shared on social media that she had taken up virtual dance cardio classes.

Dance cardio is an unbelievable aerobic workout that can improve cardiovascular health, increase muscular strength, as well as tone and boost endurance and motor fitness.

2. Bikram yoga

Yoga is a remarkable and impactful form of exercise that can positively influence your health and body in many ways. As such, there’s been a plethora of different styles of yoga that have gone mainstream in the past few years, one of which is Bikram yoga.

A style of hot yoga that features two breathing exercises and a series of 26 poses, Demi Moore revealed in 2010 to Cosmopolitan that she had taken up the exercise with her now ex-husband.

According to researchers, Bikram yoga has been shown to improve body strength, range of motion, balance, as well as lower blood pressure and ease depression.

3. Sober curious

“Part of being sober is [that] I don’t want to miss a moment of life.”Demi Moore, Harper’s Bazaar

In her 2019 New York Times bestselling memoir, Inside Out, the GI Jane actress revealed that she had been 20 years sober – briefly broken with a beer – which speaks to the ever-growing sober-curious movement that people have adopted, beyond Dry January.

Quitting alcohol and adopting a sober approach to life can do wonders for your health, including weight loss, healthier skin, a happier liver, reduced inflammation, improved heart health and a stronger immune system.
