Martha Stewart, a businesswoman, writer, and television personality, looks and feels amazing at 82 years of age. Her incredible longevity is largely possible because she prioritizes her health and well-being every day. Here are some of the things she confesses to doing daily to live a healthy life.

Martha Stewart’s sage advice: start when you’re young

According to People, Martha expressed, “My feeling about good looks and about good health is that you have to start early — so 50 is a very good time to start!” she tells People. “I try to live a very healthy life. Also, I eat extremely well. I take care of myself. Four times a week, I go to the gym, no matter what. I take care of my skin very, very well, and everybody can do that. It’s not like I spend a fortune on any of that stuff, but I managed to do it because it’s going to make a difference, and I’m going to live longer and healthier.”

Regular exercise

Sufficient movement is clearly helping Martha stay hip and healthy. As previously mentioned, she regularly goes to the gym, but she also does Pilates. “This is where I go at 6:30 in the morning,” Martha Stewart told E! News. Regular exercise has endless benefits, including improved heart health, cognitive function, and bone strength, and it helps to maintain Martha’s health and vitality.

Eat a balanced diet

Your daily greens are important if you want to look and feel good past a certain age. According to E! News, Martha takes this seriously, as her daily green juice is on the menu every day of the week. And because it’s Martha, the vegetables she throws in it come straight from her own garden.

Martha Stewart expressed, “I have a vegetable greenhouse right here on my farm. During the summer, of course, the vegetables are grown outside in the garden.”

According to Medriva, she acknowledges maintaining a healthy diet conscientiously and enjoys using homegrown produce. Additionally, Martha is dedicated to preparing her own meals, enabling her to regulate the quality and nutritional value of her food intake. Don’t forget to indulge!

Martha happily embraces balance. Yes, she gets up early every morning to exercise and drink her green juice, but she will also often treat herself to a dinner out with friends. According to E! News, “I usually end up with friends at dinner someplace,” the Martha Knows Best host told E! News of her nightly plans. “I cook, but most of the time, if I’m in New York, I commute to New York to work, and we go to a favorite restaurant or a new restaurant.”

Stick to a good skincare routine

Martha Stewart told E! News, “Well, I never go to bed with my makeup on. I cleanse myself extremely well with a cleansing oil and a warm cloth and get all signs of makeup off. I use hyaluronic acid, and I put on very rich creams. Additionally, I use vitamin C, and I use peptides,” she listed. “These are my favorite kinds of things to put on my skin.”

The bottom line

Thankfully, Martha’s daily habits can be easily incorporated into our routines. While these habits may sound simple, consistency is what will give you results.
