The 2026 Asia-Pacific Healthy Longevity International Summit will take place on October 1-4, in Hong Kong. It will be hosted by the Asia-Pacific Longevity Medicine Society and the Kitalys Institute (a non-profit arm of Kinexum Services LLC). The Summit will feature global pioneers such as Nir Barzilai, Joan Mannick, Leroy Hood, Matt Kaeberlein, and Andrea Maier. It’s expected to draw 1,000+ researchers, clinicians, innovators, investors, and policymakers to effect the translation of geroscience into the clinic and beyond.
Breakthrough Longevity Awards
Additionally, the APAC LMS Top 10 Breakthrough Longevity Awards for 2026 will be announced at the conference.
The center of gravity in biomedical research and development, policy, funding and innovation is moving from West to East.
This conference will be invaluable for stakeholders who want to understand and connect with where longevity science, precision medicine, AI-enabled healthcare, and healthy aging are headed next.

About Kitalys
Kitalys is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in spring 2020 by Dr. Alexander “Zan” Fleming, who also founded Kinexum, a life-sciences regulatory consulting firm (Fleming is its Executive Chair). Kitalys is based in Charlottesville, VA, with Thomas Seoh as a key co-leader.
Its mission: translate scientific advances in healthy longevity into accessible public health improvements.
The founder’s backstory
Fleming was a senior FDA reviewer from 1986–1998, overseeing landmark approvals including metformin, the first statin, and the first insulin analog.
He saw three systemic barriers to preventive/longevity medicine: no clear regulatory pathway for approving therapies that target aging itself, prevention trials too large and long to attract funding, and no incentive for payers to fund prevention now to avoid treatment costs later.
Kitalys exists to fix that system.
Main activities:
- Targeting Healthy Longevity conference (formerly “Targeting Metabesity,” running since 2017) — convenes NIH, FDA, Congress, UK Parliament, geroscience researchers, industry, and investors. “
- Metabesity” is Fleming’s coinage for the cluster of aging-related chronic diseases (diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, cancer) sharing common metabolic roots. 200+ session recordings are free on their YouTube channel.
- The THRIVE Act — their flagship policy effort: draft US legislation creating an optional regulatory pathway with escalating tiers of evidence and incentives for drugs, devices, and even supplements that extend healthspan (years in good health). Developed with the Alliance for Longevity Initiatives / Healthspan Action Coalition. Fleming presented it at the Reagan-Udall Foundation in May 2026.
- Project Healthspan — advocacy to make healthy longevity a national policy goal.
- Asia-Pacific expansion — co-hosting the 2nd Asia-Pacific Longevity Medicine International Summit in Hong Kong, Oct 1–4, 2026, with the Asia-Pacific Longevity Medicine Society.
- Frontiers of Longevity Science — a three-volume Springer Nature anthology (100+ contributors) with a foreword by Fleming and Seoh, now on pre-order.
